Jāzepa Vītola starptautiskais pianistu konkurss ir vērienīgākais notikums Latvijas klaviermākslā, un tas ir kļuvis par svarīgu Latvijas mūzikas dzīves sastāvdaļu.
2023. gada oktobrī Liepājas koncertzālē ”Lielais dzintars” notiks VIII Jāzepa Vītola starptautiskā pianistu konkursa trešā kārta jeb fināls, kurā labākie jaunie pianisti konkursa programmu atskaņos kopā ar Liepājas Simfonisko orķestri diriģenta Atvara Lakstīgalas vadībā.
Konkursa laureātu un diplomandu vidū bijuši tādi pazīstami un nu jau publikas iemīļoti pianisti kā Juris Žvikovs, Sanita Šablovska, Jānis Zilbers, Toms Ostrovskis, Raimonds Petrauskis, Elīna Bērtiņa, Andrejs Osokins, Arta Arnicāne, Antoņina Suhanova un Iļja Domņins.

Margarita Balanas is one of the brightest young cellists. This time, the audience will have an opportunity to meet the passionate musician in a more intimate setting, a chamber music program. As her stage partner, she has chosen her former classmate, Franco-Belgian pianist Antoine Préat, who has been named one of the most talented pianists of his generation in France.
Concert series PERSONALLY
One of the best recorder players of the world, Erik Bosgraaf from the Netherlands, has created an exquisite program throughout the eras together with harpsichord player Ieva Saliete. It will feature works by rarely performed Italian, Spanish, and Dutch masters, opuses by late German baroque geniuses Telemann and Bach, as well as brief expeditions of the historical instruments into contemporary music.
